Innovation Park Office Campus Designed to Meet Irvine’s Robust Job Growth

Irvine Company Office Properties has begun implementing plans for Innovation Park at Irvine Spectrum – Orange County’s first contemporary large-scale amenitized low-rise office campus.

The campus will feature modern loft-style architecture with warehouse-inspired design defined by exposed steel, open ceilings, exterior stairs and skylights. Roll-up garage doors and operable windows will open to a central landscaped pathway with pocket parks, cafes and fitness areas to create a village-like setting for Orange County’s future innovative workforce.

The 35-acre campus will offer 550,000 square feet of office space in a collection of low-rise buildings ranging from 20,000 to 65,000 square feet – creating a variety of opportunities for employers to express their brand and attract talent. The project is located immediately west of Interstate 5 with access from both Sand Canyon Avenue and Jeffrey Road.

“Our aim is to meet Irvine’s robust job growth, especially in the tech and innovation sector,” said Steve Case, Executive Vice President, Irvine Company Office Properties. “This plan helps us meet that goal through a thoughtful masterplan and market-leading design.”

Innovation Park will be serviced by Spectrumotion, an organization that works with commuters to promote carpooling, vanpooling, cycling or use of the Metrolink.

Innovation Park is consistent with the Irvine General Plan and zoning documents. The campus could open in the Spring of 2021.

Office space in the Irvine Spectrum is nearly fully leased and Innovation Park will accommodate future economic growth, especially in the tech and innovation sector. Irvine Spectrum is the central employment hub in Irvine and is home to approximately 3,500 companies ranging from start-ups to world global leaders in biomedicine, legal, finance, electronics, computer technology, automobile design and telecommunications.
